The Law No. 29/2015, of 30th July, about International Legal Cooperation in Civil and Commercial Matters, was created because of the problems related to international trials in these specific areas, and the legal vacuum that was imposed after the Legal Provision No. 20, of the Code of Civil Procedure. Among the procedural institutions contained in this law, those relating to pending trials and connected claims, that have been analyzed in this paper, take an important status in cross-border proceedings, whose regulation, in general terms, seeks to respond to the opening of two trials, with the same object and persons, by a national court and an international court, and the proceeding this national court must undertake in favor of legal certainty.
