Abstract

The emergence and implementation of new information and communication technologies has changed the way in which the individual relates to others in the social environment. Interpersonal relationships have revolutionized at breakneck speed in the last four decades. The advent of the Internet was a determining factor for the configuration of the new relationship paradigms. Each person is able to stand in front of billions of other people, without needing, to get around. As its name implies, information and communication technologies allow people, connected to each other, to share, create and discuss new knowledge. In this scenario of hyperconnectivity virtual social networks emerged, which acted as a catalyst for the revolution of forms of relationship. The technological revolution has valued communication and enabled conversation and interaction between people at a distance to be restricted to two people or a group of determined people. Digital social networks have become environments conducive to virtual infidelity.
